Biography —
I am a graduate student in the History Department at the University of Kansas, pursuing a Master’s degree in History with certification in Indigenous Studies. Under the guidance of Dr. Kent Blansett, my research focuses on the Indigenous peoples of North America, particularly on placing their histories within broader narratives of colonialism, capitalism, adaptation, and resistance. Looking ahead, I hope to become a secondary education history teacher, where I can share my passion for history with students and raise greater awareness of Indigenous histories and perspectives in the classroom, inspiring them to think critically about the past and its impact on the present.
