Make an appointment with an Academic Advisor.

The Department of History takes great pride in connecting students and faculty through informal and formal advising sessions. For example, before course enrollment begins each semester, students are strongly encouraged to make an appointment with the Academic Advisor, Interim Director of Undergraduate Studies, or any faculty member. We will advise students on upcoming classes and enrichment opportunities, as well as ways to ensure that course credits are meeting requirements for a History major/minor or graduation from KU.

Declaring a History Major/Minor:

To declare a history major or minor, schedule an appointment to meet with an Academic Advisor.

Graduate students in the Department of History are encouraged to contact their faculty advisor, the Director of Graduate Studies, or the Graduate Academic Advisor with any questions or concerns.
