Many Faces of Mexico

Interested in Mexico and its people? This class tackles the history of Mexico from the 1500s through the present.  Students will read several historical monographs to better understand the historical processes that forged Mexico’s diverse people and cultures. As a 500 level course, students will undertake their own research into a theme of Mexican history in order to better understand how historians have approached the study of Mexcio’s past.
