Recent History Alumni Receive Tenure and Teaching Award

Two recent KU History alumni have made strides in their teaching careers.

Phillip Fox, PhD 2014, MA 2009, Assistant Professor of History at Wayne State College, in Nebraska, was awarded promotion and tenure in the spring of 2020.

Irene Olivares, PhD 2016, MA 2013, Assistant Professor at Johnson County Community College, was the only faculty to receive the Rookie of the Year Award, which "recognizes the contributions JCCC employees have made during their first year in a position at the college."
